Founder and Chairman
Garry Waldrum is the Founder & Chairman of Southpaw in Dallas, Texas.
Garry has a long history of being a self-starter; whether it be working in the restaurant business as a kid, or by starting businesses, entrepreneurship has always been in Garry’s DNA. From the beginning, Garry has always understood that great businesses start with hiring great people who have the right values and possess the right attitude of doing whatever it takes to win.
TS Sports was one of Garry’s most successful ventures. After almost twenty years of outstanding growth in the sports and entertainment industry, TS Sports was acquired by Panasonic. As part of the acquisition, Garry stayed on and served with Panasonic until 2018, when Garry and a team of investors reacquired the business, and Southpaw was born.
Away from work, Garry has taken various leadership roles in nonprofit organizations, as well as within their church & communities. Garry served as a board member of “Lift Up America” helping under-privileged children and has been an ordained Deacon for over 30 years.
Mr. Waldrum is a graduate of MacArthur High School in Irving, Texas and attended Dallas Baptist University. He currently resides in Southlake, Texas, with his wife Kim.
Together, they have (3) grown children, all married, and (6) grandchildren.
Lead Director of the Board of Directors
Mr. Swartz is currently a Partner at Northaven Capital Partners, a privately held investment firm.
Prior to joining the Southpaw team, Mr. Swartz served as the EVP & COO for Glazer’s, Inc., a privately held distributor of wines and spirits. In 2016, he led the integration of Glazer’s, Inc. and Southern Wine and Spirits which is now Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits of America.
Since 2016, Mr. Swartz has served as Lead Independent Director at CSWI, a NASDAQ listed company in the industrial business. Since January 2017, Mr. Swartz has served as a member of the board of managers of Glazer’s Beer & Beverage, LLC. He also served with Hicks Equity Partners, LLC, a privately held investment firm, as a Managing Director and Partner.
Mr. Swartz has previously served on the board of directors for multiple organizations including Environmental Pest Services, Resolute Energy Corporation, and Ocular LCD, Inc., as well as serving in various executive positions such as Centex Corporation where he was the CEO of Hometeam Services, which grew 100% under his leadership.
He is a CPA and received his MBA in Finance from N.H. College, as well as his BS in Accounting from SUNY Albany. He enjoys spending time with family, playing guitar in a band, and traveling.
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Kelley officially joined Southpaw team in June of 2019, however, he has a long history with the organization and its professional staff. Kevin’s history with the company spans almost a decade and includes previously helping advise and sell the firm first to Panasonic in February 2015, and then helped lead the process to reacquire the business as Southpaw in December of 2018.
Mr. Kelley’s previous experience includes leading a number of successful high growth firms including the Kohler Company, four of Newell Rubbermaid’s businesses, and the consumer goods side of Brunswick. His resume provides a broad range of experience that encompasses both domestic and international activities, including successful integrations & acquisitions for a number of businesses.
Mr. Kelley is a licensed CPA and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin.
Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Matt Ritter serves as the Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Southpaw. Matt uses his strong background in sales, marketing and operations to lead day-to-day sales activities. In this role, he manages all aspects of the sales process from project estimating to contract management.
Matt has an extensive background in technology sales with over 15 years of experience and is one of the most accomplished executives in the LED industry. Under his leadership, Matt helped grow a family integrat ion business (TS Sports) from a small sign company to one of the top LED integrators in the sports industry. He played a key role in the sale and transition of TS Sports to Panasonic.
After the acquisition, Matt led sales and marketing for Panasonic’s Sports & Entertainment Business Unit. During Matt’s tenure as Vice President, the company achieved record highs in sales revenue and successfully integrated some of the most iconic LED displays around the country.
Matt is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University, where he played baseball and graduated Summa cum laude. He’s an avid sports fan, especially of the Washington Redskins, enjoys the physical challenges of endurance races, such as Ironman Triathlons, is an active member of Fielder Road Church and loves spending time with his wife, Allison, and three boys, Maddox, Mason and Manning.

Vice President of Project Management
Damon Gaffney is the Vice President of Project Management for Southpaw, and is currently responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of multiple large-scale projects,as well as taking an active role in the design and development of unique project specific solutions.
His attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively with clients, and years of experience in the field, help him excel at the planning, execution and installation of a projects at the customer’s job site.
Damon has more than 23 years working in commercial construction, 15 years of which has been directly related to the LED/Systems Integration market; this makes him an invaluable asset to the Southpaw team. His extensive experience with installing projects for professional & minor league sports, the Canadian football league, collegiate sports, and an array of other venues, as well as his specific knowledge of the LED/Systems market,make him the right person to manage any project, big or small.
Damon currently resides in Texas with his wife and four children.
Senior Vice President for Construction Services
Steven Edgington is the Senior Vice President for Construction Services for Southpaw in Dallas, Texas.
Steven has over a decade of experience in the design of structures that support our integrations and construction business. From beginning to end, Steven plays a critical role in creating solutions and quickly responding to changes in the various departments he collaborates.
In this role he coordinates a team of control systems engineers, electrical engineers, structural engineers, and CAD technicians to efficiently keep projects on schedule and under budget. Throughout the lifespan of your project he creates visualization models from pre-planning to fabrication to changes in the field. He utilizes these tools for our clients to bridge the gap from technical requirements to aesthetic designs, facilitating a seamless experience from paper to reality.Steven’s expertise can be seen in projects for clients such as the Sacramento Kings, Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Braves, Times Square in NYC, and Florida State Universityas well as many of the largest LED Video Display projects in North America.
Steven also oversees and manages estimating project costs, solving field implementation issues, and supporting our project managers and field engineering personnel as needed. He is also a Professional Engineer registered in 11 states with over 150 hours in continued education responding to the latest advances in his field.
Prior to joining Southpaw, Steven was a Structural Engineer at Childress Engineering in the DFWarea, and he received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
VP of Strategic Planning
Prior to joining the Southpaw team, Mike began his career in the Transaction Services division of PwC in NYC, where he helped Fortune 500 companies navigate M&A transactions, carve-outs, and other projects. He subsequently joined WorkMarket, a SaaS company focused on connecting large corporations with independent contractors. Over the course of 7 years at WorkMarket, Mike transformed the support team into a profit center, managed the Customer Success Management team, and built a Professional Services team that was responsible for designing and implementing integrations and change management solutions.
After WorkMarket sold for $200M+ to ADP, Mike joined IFM Restoration as VP of Operations to help streamline operations and implement new technologies necessary to achieve growth targets. Mike earned his BBA in Finance and Accounting at Emory University. In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time with his family, practicing yoga, scuba diving, and cooking.
Vice President of Business Development
Greg Stocker serves as the Vice President of Business Development at Southpaw. Greg is responsible for helping vet and open new markets, as well as for supporting the growth of the existing sports-venue vertical, where he has extensive experience and has worked on more than 1,000 projects over the past 20 years.
Greg has spent nearly 25 years helping grow relationship-focused technology companies. His experience encompasses sales, customer service, project management, strategy, and M&A. Serving as the liaison between the technical, creative, and sales department heads and the Board of Directors of a high-growth internet startup (Zoom Culture), Greg was able to hone his ability to work between departments, helping increase efficiencies and interdepartmental collaboration.
In the sports-venue technology space, Greg led a 15-year-old company (Click Effects) to a 10-fold increase in revenues in under 10 years. During this incredible period of growth, Greg worked to establish and build a dealer network, implement and grow a field support and training team, and worked with industry consultants to ensure Click Effects was a preferred provider for their projects. As Managing Director, Greg helped spearhead the M&A process that led to the acquisition of Click Effects in 2016.
Greg is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where he earned degrees in both Psychology and Sociology. He is a die-hard Louisville Cardinals fan, loves anything outdoors, and is a self-described gadget geek. Greg lives in Louisville, KY with his wife, Shannon, and children, Cassidy and Tye.

Director of Services
Jeff Ball serves as the Director of Services at Southpaw. In his capacity, he is responsible for managing the services and support provided to all clients. One primary function of this role is to ensure that the services provided by Southpaw match a customer’s needs, and that the delivery of these services is of the highest quality. Utilizing his long history of working with others to find better approaches to resolving issues, Jeff delivers successful, quick and effective resolutions that can be trusted.
Jeff started his career working in IT management and security prior to moving into the Sports Broadcast market. His first foray into the marketplace was in 2005 with Click Effects, where over a short period of time, the company’s explosive growth demanded agile creation of new processes and policies. Jeff worked to tailor the new offerings to fit specific needs, all while maintaining cost-efficient options. In 2016 Click Effects was acquired by ChyonHego and Jeff stepped into a newly formed, combined role overseeing the global support and IT infrastructure. In both companies Jeff worked closely with software development, marketing, and directed hardware engineering.
Jeff has an unwavering dedication to serve others in providing long-term solutions to problems, coupled with a desire to educate those affected to facilitate prevention. With a keen attention to detail and thirst to constantly learn, Jeff and the entire Southpaw Services Team are uniquely positioned to offer more effective answers to complex situations that benefit everyone, maintaining system operations and improving operations through modification.
Jeff lives north of Nashville, TN with his wife, Ann-Marie, and three daughters, Eleanor, Elizabeth and Evelyn. (Yes, they all start with the letter E and, yes, there’s a story behind it.) When not sitting behind a computer keyboard, Jeff enjoys spending time with family, serving at the local church, cooking meals for others, or playing any number of instruments that happen to be lying around.
Micah’s decade of experience and leadership of businesses in the focuses of budgeting, cash flow forecasting, strategic financial planning, and continued improvements in process and procedure efficiencies have all made him an irreplaceable member of the Southpaw team.
As Controller for Southpaw, Micah is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, as well as helping guide the management team in the correct fiscal direction. He accomplishes this by implementing process controls, managing revenues, cash flow, and managing other important business and banking relationships. Through forensic accounting, financial planning of budgets, and cash flow management analysis, Micah is not only able to explain why we have been successful in the past, but also continually allows the team to focus on where Southpaw is going. Constant day-to-day interactions with operations and sales allows Micah to mentor and cultivate a more accountable culture and business environment.
Prior to joining Southpaw, Micah Served as a Regional Controller for Penhall Company in Grand Prairie, TX. Before that he worked for SB International, Inc. in the oil and gas sector managing a Portfolio of 20 businesses. Micah began his accounting career in Public accounting at the firm of Huselton, Morgan, and Maultsby P.C. in Dallas, TX.
Micah Graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Master of Professional Accountancy, while simultaneously competing on the Division 1-AA Lumberjack football team. In his time away from the office Micah enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He enjoys movies from all genres, pushes his personal strength through powerlifting, and enjoys reading mystery, spy, and graphic novels.
Sales & Marketing Coordinator
In this capacity, Eddie assists the EVP of Sales & Marketing in identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities. Eddie also works day-in and day-out with our website development team to ensure the site content is relevant, up-to-date, and synchronizes with the sales team’s goals.
Prior to joining Southpaw, Eddie was a teacher in both the public and private school systems for 16 years. In the Spring of 2019, Eddie was selected as the Secondary Teacher of the Year for Carroll ISD where he taught for 4 years. Before teaching at Carroll ISD, Eddie worked for Northwest ISD and North Lamar ISD—earning “Secondary Teacher of the Year” awards in those districts as well. Eddie began his teaching career at Goodland Academy in the Fall of 2003. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Ouachita Baptist University, where he earned a double-major in History & Political Science in 4 years.
Eddie has a long history of serving others whether it be in the school system, as the director of the youth program Royal Ambassadors, or by his service as an ordained Deacon at First Baptist Church of Keller, Texas. Eddie lives in Haslet, Texas with his wife and their two daughters – Madelyn and Clara. In their free time they enjoy camping, being in the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
Director of Sales: Eastern Region
In this capacity, Jeremy oversees all aspects of the sales and solutions process for the Eastern Region of the United States. He helps strategize, identify, plan and implement the objectives set by the customer. Jeremy joined the team in 2007 as a sales manager and has helped grow the company through multiple positions along the way.
Jeremy also has an extensive background as a Solutions’ Engineer including being recognized by Panasonic as the top performer at this position in 2016. Jeremy was responsible for vetting solutions and partners to engineer custom results for clients. He was essential to cost optimization and product development.
Jeremy graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas. He is an active member of Gateway Church and lives in Euless, Texas with his wife Lauren and their dog Blue. For fun, they love spending time outdoors, hiking, playing tennis, playing golf, skiing, and working out.
Director of Sales: Western Region
As Director of Sales, Jeff oversees all aspects of the sales process for the Western Region of the United States. He helps strategize, identify, plan and implement the objectives set by the customer. Jeff joined the Southpaw team in June 2019.
Jeff has 10+ years of experience working in sports technology development, marketing, and sales. He got his start in sports business as an entrepreneur in 2010 when he launched Illumin8 Outdoor Media, an award-winning LED signage company, while attending Arizona State University as an undergrad. He is also the former co-founder of MK Solutions Group; Sales and Marketing Manager for Panasonic’s Live Events Group in North America; and ran business development for Leyard/Planar’s national sports and entertainment initiatives prior to joining Southpaw.
Jeff also serves as an advisor to several sports technology start-ups; is a member of the ASU W.P. Carey Sports Business Advisory Board; and is a mentor for Sport Tech Tokyo, Stadia Ventures, and Sun Devil Athletics. Jeff Graduated from Arizona State University in 2011 with a BA in Business. He resides in Phoenix, AZ with his wife Lianne, and his son Leo.
Sales Manager for the East Region
In this role, Zach is responsible for guiding clients through their goals and objectives for all of their LED video board needs.
Prior to working for Southpaw, Zach was the Account Executive for Colleges & Universities at ChyronHego. While working at ChyronHego, Zach assisted venue production staff on their videoboard control system needs while working with LED Partners & System Integrators during new and existing installations.
Zach graduated from Belmont University in Nashville with a major in Entrepreneurship. Zach and his wife Brittany live in Nashville, TN with their miniature dachshund Turner. In their free time, they enjoy going to church, playing golf, hiking, and hanging out with family & friends.
Trevor Conn is a Sales Associate for Southpaw in Dallas, Texas.
In this capacity, Trevor assists Garry Waldrum, Chairman and Founder, in identifying and pursuing new market opportunities along with day-to-day operations of the company in order to help the sales team reach their goals.
Prior to joining Southpaw in 2019, he worked as a Credit Analyst at Cadence Bank. He was responsible for assisting senior commercial bankers in the creation of commercial loan underwriting packets and financial analysis. Trevor holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Dallas Baptist University, where he played 5 years on the University’s baseball team.
During his time at DBU, he was actively involved with such charities as Mission Arlington, Dallas Life, Feast of Sharing in Dallas, Mercy Street, and the West Dallas Little League. Trevor lives in Plano, Texas, with his wife Madie who are both active members of Shoreline City Church. In their free time, they enjoy working out, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with friends and family.
